On the previous day, The Weinstein Company acquired a 25% share of Starz Media, LLC, which holds ownership of Anchor Bay Entertainment. According to the terms of the agreement, Anchor Bay Entertainment will primarily handle the distribution of various digital formats, including DVD, Blu-ray, video-on-demand, and pay-per-view for The Weinstein Company (TWC), except television distribution.

Bill Clark, the President of Anchor Bay, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Anchor Bay Entertainment is excited to integrate the esteemed films from The Weinstein Company and its Dimension Films label into our top-tier home entertainment and digital distribution enterprises.”

This development clarifies the label under which forthcoming releases, such as SCREAM 4 discs, will be presented.
